Carrie: Wow, these pizzas were awesome! We made a double batch of dough in the bread machine (after an earlier failed attempt - pays to follow the directions) and that made a fantastic crust. The southwestern had a yummy herb and garlic oil for the base, plus a nice mix of heat (peppers) and cool (tomatoes, sour cream, cheese). The white pizza was fantabulous! It has a garlic bechemel-type base with more garlic and lots o' cheese. It's a keeper!
Monday:
Red Bean Gumbo with Greens, Everyone, p. 321
Rice
Carrie: A tasty gumbo that made great leftovers.
Tuesday:
Grilled Brats (or Veggie Brats) with fixings
Steamed corn on the cob
Wednesday:
Indian!
Thursday:
Pasta with Butter, Sage, and Walnut Sauce, Lidia's Family Table, p.120
Green salad
Carrie: This was a fairly good dish, but not spectacular. The sauce smelled great - butter, walnuts, and sage - and it tasted good, but it was overwhelmed by the pasta.
